Beloved of God, it is indeed a great privilege to have you fellowship with us today. It is my joy and delight on behalf of this great assembly of overcomers to welcome you into this family of intercessors and prayer champions.

This is a very crucial time in the journey of your great destiny; that is why God ordered your steps here to be partakers of the prophetic and apostolic grace upon this family.

This is a commission armed with an apostolic prayer mandate for personal and community deliverance and transformation.

As you participate in our services, and meetings and volunteer your service in any of the service groups, the spirit of grace, favour, breakthrough and result-oriented prayer will begin to operate in your life.

On this note, I welcome you once more on behalf of the Gethsemane prayer family. The precious grace of God is upon you now and all the blessings of the commission will begin to find expression in your life (psalm 133). THE MAN BEHIND THE VISION.

REV. MOSES OLANREWAJU ARANSIOLA, PH.D

The ministry of Dr Moses Olanrewaju Aransiola has spanned more than thirty-three years since God called him in 1979 to lead the Ibadan varsity Christian union (IVCU), then Africa’s largest campus fellowship. The following year God also permitted him to lead the Nigeria Fellowship of evangelical Students (NIFES), the world’s largest Christian student body. Dr Aransiola also served the national body (NIFES) as its national prayer secretary for six years and one year as a travelling secretary (Roving campus Minister).

He was formally ordained for the ministry in 1986. As a minister primarily called by God to be an intercessor, teacher and a revivalist. God founded through him, Gethsemane Prayer Ministries, the scope of which is now worldwide.

Dr Aransiola is an alumnus of the famous Haggai Institute for advanced leadership in Singapore. He is a well-known international conference speaker and a seasoned trainer of Christian leaders. He is widely travelled.

Revd. Moses Aransiola has a Ph.D. degree in fisheries management and taught for a good number of years at the University of Ibadan, Nigeria’s premier university. He is the senior pastor of the Gethsemane Chapel of Life and National Director of ‘Nigeria Prays’, a national prayer body initiated by Gen. Dr Yakubu Gowon,

Nigeria’s former head of state.

He and his wife pastor Funmi Aransiola are blessed with children.

VISIT THE JUBILEE PRAYER TOWER

The jubilee prayer tower is the tallest prayer tower in Nigeria and possibly Africa. It is a place with ample rooms and floors for different aspects of prayer. As an intercessory ministry, we encourage our members to visit every floor of the tower to experience the amazing power of prayer and to also contribute their quota in the twenty-four hours prayer chain.

ABOUT THIS CHURCH

The Gethsemane Prayer Ministry which started as Gethsemane prayer fellowship commissioned on May 23rd, 1987 as a forum for continuous and consistent teaching and practice of God’s word in prayer, fasting, praise, worship, intercession, supplication and deliverance. The church arm – Gethsemane Chapel of Life came into being in 1991. The ministry by God’s grace is in the forefront of the prayer move and mobilization not only in Nigeria but also in Africa, America and Europe. Today, Gethsemane Prayer Ministry has eight branches in the city of Ibadan, and one in Lagos and Federal Capital, Abuja.

OUR SERVICES INCLUDE:

WEEKLY ACTIVITIES

Destiny Molding Services: Every Sunday we have a refreshing services from 9.00am to 11:30am

MIDWEEK SERVICE:

Our Midweek services come up every Wednesday and Thursday. On Wednesdays and Thursdays. On Wednesdays, we meet for Bible Study at 5:30 pm while on Thursdays we meet for prevailing Prayer fellowship also at 5:30pm.

WEEKLY FASTING:

All members of our chapel fast every Thursday of the week while the workers also fast on Tuesdays. In other words, members are expected to fast once a week (Thursdays) and workers fast twice a week Thursdays and Tuesdays).

OTHER SPECIAL PROGRAMMES

GENERAL WORKERS MEETING:

We hold our general workers meeting first Tuesday of every month. It is a prayer and fasting programme with teachings and business sessions. It is a forum where all the workers of the ministry come together to pray, plan and share the common vision and goal for the month.

PRAYER CLINIC

(Prayer Ministration)

The first Thursday of every month is designated for the prayer clinic. It is a spiritual clinic where people come for healing and deliverances. Diverse cases are attended to by the Holy Spirit, and miracles and testimonies abound.

PRAYER FOR THE NATION

The first Saturday of every month is designated for praying for our country Nigeria. This is a covenant meeting that is as old as the ministry itself. We have covenanted ourselves to pray for Nigeria and this is one of the cardinal programmes of the ministry. It holds between 3.00pm and 6.00pm

BREAKTHROUGH VIGIL

All members of the church gather every last Friday of every month for this all night programme. It is a power night packaged for breakthrough in all areas if human endeavout. The programme starts from 100.00pm and runs till dawn.

SPECIALIZED SECTIONS FOR THE CHURCH

THE CHILDREN SECTION:

Children between the ages of nine months and twelves years of age are given a special attention while in church. The service holds cocurrently with the adult church services.

The TEENS SECTION:

This arm of the church is designated to cater for our teenagers (ages 13 to 19). The service holds simultaneously with the adult church services.

YOUTH MINISTRY SECTION:

This is a ministry tailored to teach and train the youth (over 20years and young adults). The service holds simultaneously with the adult church services.

THE HOUSE FELLOWSHIP

House fellowships are the smaller units of the church. They hold at designated homes every sunday 5.00pm for bretheren to share the word of God and fellowship with one another. It is expected that you attend a House Fellowship nearest to you in order to be identified as a family. Being a member of the House Fellowship system offers you several benefits.

a. It creates oppurtunity for several development.

b. It is an avenue for a closer interaction between bretheren for fellowship companionship.

c. It creates an avenue for sharing and caring for one another.

d. It also creates avenue for brethren to receive assistance from the church such as welfare, wedding solemnization, child naming, property dedication etc. To know the location nearest to you, check the House Fellowship directory in this booklet or the church notice board.

SPECIAL MINISTRATIONS

Counselling and Deliverance Healing Service

To live in sickness, oppression and affliction is to live in bondage! That is why one of the key areas through which this ministry establishes liberty for the people ministering deliverance to those who need it. The healing services are announced from the pulpit whenever they are scheduled to hold. You can also approach the pastors, and book an appointment. Don’t suffer in silence.

Every Tuesday 10am- 3pm

WAITING MOTHERS AND SINGLES PROGRAMME

A special programme is organized periodically to minister to those who have delay in marriage and child bearing and who desire to have their miracle spouses and children. Be on the look out for the dates of the programmes as announced from the pulpit.

SPECIALIZED FELLOWSHIPS

Boaz Group:

This fellowship is open to all business man and woman in the church. The major features in the meetings include insightful and motivational teachings. The aim of the fellowship is to enlighten members on the covenant secrets of the sweat-less triumph in all areas of business endeavours. The fellowship meetings hold as announced.

Men Alive Fellowship:

This fellowship involves men of all ages. It is an avenue for mutual development in different aspect of manhood. There are specially designated programmes to help men grow into responsible husbands and fathers, and to sensitized to their unique role in the family, church, community and the nation.

Daughters of Zion Fellowship

(Sisters Fellowship)

This is a fellowship of women of all ages. Like the men fellowship, it is a forum for all-round development. Women are given sound teachings and trainings to become empowered for impact in the home, church, community and national development.

YOUTH ALIVE FELLOWSHIP

Youths and singles of all ages under this umbrella meet regularly to fellowship together, pray and play together. The future leaders are prepared through tailor-made programmes for maximum impact in the society.

ROYAL AND PRINCESS AMBASSADORS

This is a club for the teenage boys and girls where they are taught and prepared for responsible adulthood.

Everyday at the church office , there are pastors on duty to attend to members with emergency cases or in need of counseling from 10.00am to 3.00pm.

At Gethsemane Prayer Ministries International, Oppurtunities, which constitute avenues for ministering to the saints and fufilling our kingdom obligations. Below are the available oppurtunities and the duties attached to them.

USHERING UNIT:

Psalms 84:10

FUNCTIONS

– Receives worshippers and ushers them to their seats.

– Ensure orderliness in the service

– Distributes Church-related materials, such as handbills, bulletins and magazines, etc.

SANCTUARY KEEPING UNIT:

Exodus 19:10, 11; Gen 2:15

FUNCTIONS

– Ensures that the sanctuary of God and the entire church premises are well-kept for the glory of his name, sanctuary keepers meet every morning by 7am

– See to the decoration and beautification of the church for all occasions.

SECURITY UNIT

Nehemiah 7:3

FUNCTIONS

-Ensures the security of lives and properties (particularly vehicles) within the church premises.

TECHNICAL UNITS

Exodus 36:1-2

Functions

– Sets up and maintain the public address systems in the church.

– Production of messages on cassette, Audio CD, VCD & DVD

– Membership is by application.

The group meets on saturdays

4pm & Sundays after service.

CHOIR UNIT

Functions

– Leads the congregation to offer quality praise and worship in music; minister inspirational spiritual songs.

– Membership by application.

Experience in singing ability and skill in playing musical instruments are advantageous.

– Tuesday 5:30 & Saturday 4.00pm

PROTOCOL UNIT

FUNCTIONS

– Ensures orderly movement of worshippers within the sanctuary and the entire premises.

– Guides and serve visitors, VIPs, Guest Ministers during their stay with the Church.

Drives protocol vehicles and pilot VIPs

– Membership is by application

WATCHERS UNIT

Functions

– The praying arm of the congregation that serves God in Prayer to enforce supernatural breakthroughs for the services and the entire congregation.

-Membership is by application.

CHILDREN TEACHERS UNIT

FUNCTIONS

– Maintains order, teach and instructs the children at the children’s section of the church in the way of the Lord. In child upbringing will be an advantage.

HEALING BALM UNIT

LUKE 10:33-34

Functions

-Give medical advice to members who have health needs.

– Direct and help members in need of medical attention at the church clinic and during medical outreaches for the members.

– Doctors, nurses and others who are experienced in medical services are qualified to be members.

HOSPITALITY UNIT

Romans 12:13; Heb 13:1-2; Gal 6:2

Functions

– Provide refreshments for ministers and guests after ministrations when necessary.

– Handles the cooking and serving of guest after ministrations when necessary.

– Handles the cooking and serving of guests during conventions, anniversaries and other occasions for the church.

WELFARE UNIT

Luke 10:33; Acts 6:1

Functions

-Creates a friendly, welcoming and caring atmosphere for members of the church

-Shows kindness and care to those in need of physical support

– Disburses the welfare packages to needy members.

COUNSELLING/FOLLOWUP AND VISITATION UNIT

Functions

– Counselling and discipling new converts

– Reaching new converts by active house-to-housevisitation and phone calls.

DORCAS AND BANARBAS GROUP

Functions

1. To care and pray for pregnant women during pregnancy and after delivery

2. To visit, pray for, comfort and assist the bereaved in every way possible

3. To visit the hospitals to pray for and support the sick

4. To visit prisons, minister to the In-mates spiritually and physically.

5. To visit orphanages, homes of the disables to encouragr, pray for and support them by providing basic needs

6. To identify and support the needy members of the church in every way possible.

7. To rejoice with and support those celebrating wedding, naming ceremonies and special birthdays.
